Bryan Anderson, Executive Vice President and President of External Affairs, Southern Company

Anderson joined the company in 2010 and leads the company’s branding, corporate communications, security policy and other external affairs functions. Based in Washington, DC, he also manages and directs the company’s political, policy and regulatory activities. Before joining Southern Company, Anderson worked for The Coca-Cola Company as vice president of government relations and public affairs. A native of Georgia, Anderson earned a bachelor of business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Georgia and a juris doctor from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University.

Stan W. Connally, Jr., Executive Vice President, Operations, Southern Company and CEO, Southern Company Services, Inc.

Connally was named Executive Vice President, Operations, Southern Company in 2018 and his role was expanded in 2021 as he assumed the role of CEO, Southern Company Services, Inc. He previously served as chairman, president and CEO of former subsidiary Gulf Power. He has held senior leadership roles at each of the company’s electric operating companies, including as senior vice president and senior production officer for Georgia Power. Since joining in 1989 as a co-op engineering student at Plant Yates, Connally’s experience across the company has ranged from customer operations and sales and marketing to power generation leadership. Cummiskey is responsible for delivering growth and customer solutions across Southern Company’s subsidiaries, leads Southern Company’s unregulated competitive businesses and oversees the innovation functions for organization. He previously served as executive vice president of external affairs and nuclear development for Georgia Power, chief commercial officer of Southern Power and as commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development. Cummiskey’s work in the public sector includes a state director for U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson of Georgia and chief of staff for the speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives. He is a past member of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, the Georgia Ports Authority, Georgia World Congress Center and the Georgia board of trustees for the Nature Conservancy.

Greene assumed her current position in June 2018. Prior to rejoining Southern Company in April 2013, Greene was executive vice president and chief generation officer of Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). While at TVA, she served as chief financial officer, executive vice president of financial services and chief risk officer, as well as, group president for strategy and external relations. Greene began her career at Southern Company in 1991 and held positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of engineering, strategy, finance and wholesale marketing, including serving as senior vice president and treasurer of Southern Company Services, Inc. from 2004 to 2007. Kerr joined the Company in March 2014. He was a partner with McGuireWoods LLP and a senior advisor at McGuireWoods Consulting LLC from 2008 through February 2014. He also served as co-chairman of McGuireWoods’ energy industry team with focus in the areas of energy transactions and finance, energy regulation, energy policy and energy litigation. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Kerr served as a Commissioner on the North Carolina Utilities Commission for eight years, as president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners from 2007 through 2008 and as president of the Southeastern Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners from 2002 through 2003.
